Tub Fillers

Free standing tub fillers

After numerous discussions with out clients about master bath layouts, we’ve learned that there are bath people and anti-bath people—both of which have pretty strong feelings either way. I, personally, am a very strong advocate of the bath tub and can not understand the opposition. Just talking about it makes me want to pour a glass of wine and go hop in right now, especially after a long day.

Once the decision has been made to include a tub (and, as I say…always include it), there are so many important design considerations that follow including location, color, size, style and plumbing fixture type. But, beyond the style of the tub itself, the fixture is probably the second most impactful component with the ability to really stand out in a room.

Fixtures can come in a variety of finishes and styles. Our favorite finishes are polished nickel, brass, bronze and matte black. When it comes to the fillers, there are three styles: deck, wall, and floor mount. Deck mount is secured to part of the tub itself and the wall and floor mounts are as they are described: mounted to a nearby wall or the floor. We consider the floor mount option the most dramatic as all the components of the fixture are exposed creating a larger more memorable effect on the room and the design.
