Exciting new project!

Back when I joined Instagram several years ago, one of the first people I started following was Tieghan, from the food blog Half Baked Harvest.  She was posting incredible images of food that look like this:

Tieghan’s photography is so inspiring, the way she captures the pure deliciousness of the food.  And over time, it seems that a whole lot of other people have been inspired as well as she has accumulated a significant following.  She has a book coming out this fall, and has been featured on The Cooking Channel, Food Network, HGTV, among others. Half Baked Harvest was named Readers’ Choice Favorite Food Blog by Better Homes and Gardens in both 2014 and 2016.

Ok, so what’s the news?  Well, Tieghan is building a new studio barn in the mountains of Colorado and we are going to be working on the project!  I mean, a studio BARN.  In the MOUNTAINS.   Of COLORADO.  And there’s more.  She is going to be shooting a pilot for the Food Network there in the fall, so we need to design the kitchen for her new TV show!  It is all very exciting, we should make that peach drink to celebrate.

Here is a photo of the land, so beautiful!

We’re going to be heading out to Colorado in September, and will be taking a lot of photos of the progress and adventures over on Instagram.  We’re really looking forward to hanging out with Tieghan and her family (and secretly hoping that there might be some extra cookies laying around).

We wanted to start the process with some general mood boards for the exterior and the interior.  After talking with Tieghan and looking at her Pinterest boards, we’re getting a better idea of her style and were able to put a few ideas together.

For the exterior, we wanted to go with a dark color scheme, here is the mood board:

And for the interior…

That’s what we have for now, but there’s a lot more to come!  Tieghan will be documenting the process on Half Baked Harvest, and we will be posting updates as well on Instagram and here on the blog!
